FREA, nestled in Berlin's Mitte district, is a 100% plant-based zero-waste restaurant and the first of its kind to open in Germany. Founded by David and Jasmin Suchy in 2018, this unique dining establishment marries eco-conscious dining with a deep love for flavourful, sustainable cuisine. The restaurant serves dishes that are entirely plant-based, seasonal, and regional, with a focus on minimising the ecological footprint. Frea's commitment to these responsible practices, both in food and sustainability, makes it a beacon of conscientious dining in Berlin's thriving culinary scene.

In our collaboration, we supplied FREA with our SILO mycelium lampshades, which now illuminate the restaurant's interior. The SILO lampshades join other interior design products within the restaurant that are either upcycled or using natural hard wearing materials. David's inspirational vision combined with our creative input resulted in a collaborative outcome that we are truly delighted with.
